Salon is a full service salon located in historic downtown Newport, Rhode
Island. It is an elegant sanctuary for beauty and rejuvenation. The very
calming and simplistic design of Ki-Ra Salon will gently erase away the
pressures and stress of the world outside.
Ki-Ra Salon is all about you and your full service salon experience! You
will receive the highest levels of service from the most talented professionals
in Rhode Island. Our expert hair and skin professionals will care for
you using the finest products and treatments available. Every service
we offer is combined with our free consultation and analysis. Ki-Ra Salon
opened to great celebrations in late 2004 located in downtown Newport.
It is Downtown's only full salon serving ladies, gentlemen and children
with cool cuts, the latest styling and coloring techniques. Our goal is
to make your experience at Ki-Ra as memorable as possible with our exceptional
full service salon experience.
Today Ki-Ra Salon has a very strong team of talented professionals, dedicated
to making our clients' experience extraordinary. Our commitment to the
satisfaction of our clients, together with our love and passion for our
craft, continues to make Ki-Ra Salon the hottest salon in Newport.
Over the last decade proprietors Kim Smith-Reid and Rachel Prendergast
have formed a close working relationship, to bring them to open their
own salon. As local Newporter's they are honored to be working in the
same town they grew up in and now raise their own families. Kim and Rachel
promise their clients a full salon experience never seen before in Newport
- come on in and have a frappuccino or coffee while you wait. Trust in
their trained and experience hands and look forward to new
possibilities.
Product Line
Ki-Ra Salon offers its clients hair and skin care products we believe
in. Every great service begins with superior product. We have chosen what
we believe is some of the best the industry has to offer. We will gladly
exchange any product that doesn't meet your satisfaction.
History
Ki-Ra Salon was established in December 2004. We are located in the center
of downtown Newport's shopping and dining area. The salon owners Kim and
Rachel saw the need to bring high quality artistry with the best customer
service expected. Ki-Ra Salon active in the surrounding community, constantly
supporting local charities. We provide a yearly discount on all services
and retail in exchange for food pantry items for local homeless shelters.
We also encourage and provide further training for local high school students
that are enrolled in the cosmotology program. We are always providing
continuing education for all stylists and technicians so they are kept
up to date with the latest in our industry.
Scheduling
All Salon and Spa appointments can be scheduled by phone or in person
at the front the desk. Your appointment time is determined by the service
that you have requested. We suggest you arrive 15 minutes early for all
spa services. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy for all services.
A credit card must be presented when booking these appointments. Cancellations
made less than 24 hours and no shows will be charged 50% of the services
booked.
Our Level System
Our level system is based on demand and expertise of stylist as well as
their continued education. This is a great way to control the level of
experience you require and the amount you wish to spend.
